My computer stuck updating

It's been displaying the message, "Updating 11 of 11..." For hours but can't seem to complete the operation. Running a manual check for updates will work, it worked for me What you have to do is to install the KB2771431 first then run a manual check for the other Windows 8 updates and install them, it will work fine. Hopefully I'm not violating user policy by reposting my answer here, but not many people seem to have found the Q I originally answered. My guess is that this is a bug where MS forgot to add whatever is needed for that small shield to be added to the button and check user privileges .After a while the whole process starts agian, and I am forced to either shut down the update through the joblist or I'll have to wait for it to finish, then force my computer to shut down, and reboot for it to work. Is my PC eventually going to allow me to leave the USB dongle in during boot up or do I need to uninstall the update? I unplugged my Blue Snowball mic and it booted up seconds later. Windows updated yesterday when I shut off my computer and when I turned it on today, it gets stuck at the spinning circle screen before the login screen. Removed the USB dongle for my wireless mouse, as soon as I unplugged the progress window opens and it starts going. Ctrl Alt Del is the only thing that works and it gives me three buttons. Tip: After downloading the updates, open System Configuration dialog box and enable all disabled services. Launch Windows Update and download the updates again. Press Win R (Windows logo key and R key) at the same time.
